Breeze are a three piece band from Birmingham, consisting of Paul Baker (vocals & guitar), Josh Moseley (guitar) and Jack Redfern (drums). Influenced by the likes of The Cure and The Smiths, the boys formed in late 2014, hoping to bring the Birmingham scene back to the forefront.
The sound of the band mixes pop with a heavy indie twist. Simple riffs are mixed and styled with a compilation of beats that complement each song individually. The vocals are raw with an abundance of passion for the music they create. Throughout any track, the hard work and love Breeze have for their songs is clear as day, certainly making them a band to watch out for.
The boys have recently played at Dot To Dot Festival, receiving high praise for their performances, but the journey doesn’t stop there. Breeze has been shortlisted for two huge festivals coming later this summer: YNot Festival and Truck Festival. The band’s potential is glaringly evident in the few singles that they have released so far, so fingers crossed they secure both places this summer.
With gigs already lined up, such as Rainbow in Birmingham on the 25 July, the boys have their work cut out for them. In the near future the band is aiming to support big acts, before being able to hold their own headlining tour around the country.
Even with the amount of gigs and festivals they’re securing so far, Breeze still hope to record and produce their EP by the end of the year, no doubt containing more effortless and perfected tracks for their fans to adore. They have a lot to look forward to and I’m sure they’ll pull it off in a flash, as Breeze are a band with enough talent to shoot straight for the stars.
