Ahead of its release on Friday (26 January) Inkfields are sharing their new album Beneath The Waves exclusively on Gigslutz.
Spanning topics from conservation to political issues, Beneath The Waves is a compilation of James Griffiths journey over the past 7 years with some tracks written before Inkfields even existed. As the name might suggest, it’s inspired by a love of the ocean, and a need to protect what we have.
Beautiful and expansive, both in theme and sound, Beneath The Waves is worthy ode to Griffiths’ songwriting abilities – ones that have rewarded the band with European tours, national radio AirPlay and – deservedly – a hefty following. It is, as albums this ethereal and poignant often are, difficult to put into words. It floats in a world and genre of its own.
