Meggies Burn Fields, Blyth

15th-17th July 2022

11 years and counting, Festival by The Sea is back in Blyth and better than ever. Located on Meggies Burn Fields (Blyth’s picturesque coastline), whatever the weather may be this weekend of legendary music, food and drink is set to be a scorcher.

Festival by The Sea 2022 is bringing a whole host of fantastic entertainment to the North East from the 15th-17th of July. With over twenty live music acts to see, a variety of local street food vendors to visit, craft ales and cocktails to try, a fairground fun-zone to enjoy and even a hot-tub relaxation station to unwind in, it’s safe to say that FBTS is ready to impress.

From local favourites to outright legends, Festival by The Sea has everything you want and more. The amazing 2022 line-up features Trevor Nelson’s legendary Soul Nation (an R’n’B classics celebration); local heroes and ‘UK’s greatest modern Soul band’ Smoove & Turrell; the ever-adored Baghdaddies; hotshot favourites Col Mustard & the Dijon 5; trance fan-favourite John Kelly (Cream); and even Steve Edwards of global hit/World Cup song ‘World Hold On’ with Bob Sinclar to name just a handful.

While the festival may be in its 11th year, organisers are shaking things up and focusing all their energy on creating a weekend of class entertainment. With new additions to the fest including the MegaDome (a state-of-the-art covered dance zone) and the BrewDog Village (local talent showcase – featuring musicians, comedians & cabaret), attendees will be spoilt for choice with the diversity of experiences included in their ticket price.

Speaking of tickets, Festival by The Sea knows that times have been tough for most over the past few years. And to give back to their FBTS community (and newcomers alike), tickets are available from just £15 this year with plenty of camping, day and weekend entry options available too.

Whether you came for the likes of Smoove & Turrell, or plan on staying for the chilli eating contest and Kroud Karaoke, Festival By The Sea is here to celebrate outstanding talent (both regional & national) and beautiful local scenery, all while creating a unique experience for the whole family.
