The Blinders have today shared ‘Swallowing Static’, the latest track to be taken from their forthcoming third album, Beholder, which is released on Friday 1st March 2024 via Funhouse Recordings/ EMI. The track was produced by Adam ‘Atom’ Greenspan & Nick Launey and recorded in LA in early 2023 during the album sessions.
Talking about the track, the band said:
Swallowing Static is a song of surrender. An acceptance of where you’re at, knowledge of what you are doing is probably wrong but with inability or unwillingness to change anything about it. Just suck it up. It’s stuck somewhere between longing and loathing. It doesn’t really answer anything. It only says what it sees.
The band shared the first taster from the new album, the BBC 6Music B-listed ‘Brakelights’, in October last year and played a pair of low-key warm up shows at the Dublin Castle in London and The White Hotel in Manchester in the same month. This was followed in December by ‘Always’. |
