Red Rooster Festival unveils further plans for its 10th Anniversary

The countdown has now started, it’s just 8 weeks until we return the magical world of Red Rooster Festival.

Organisers have said they can’t wait to dive into all the sights and sounds on offer, including the last ever UK festival performance from Austin, TX, royalty “Asleep at The Wheel ,” who will be joined by Brennen Leigh & Joshua Hedley, Galen & Paul (Paul Simonen, legendary bassist of The Clash) , Robert FinleyNorth Mississippi Allstars , Bob Logg III and more.

There’s plenty more diving to be done at Red Rooster though, so don your swimming trunks as our ever-popular River Swimming will be the perfect way to cool off from the warm sun, with life guards on hand to look after you all. You can also relax in their mobile sauna. But it if don’t fancy a dip then we have our Swan Pedalos to hire so you can take your own trip down the beautiful broadwater.

Discovery Channel and TV Prehistoric Survivalist, Will Lord will again be returning with his team to offer another fascinating array of displays of Ancient Carvings, Flint Knapping, Wild Butchery Cooking of Venison, Natural Cordage and Tanning Techniques. Festival goers are all welcome to drop in and have a go:

The “Back to Wilderness” team will be providing a selection of short workshops to choose from. Learn how to give life to fire, carve a spoon, make a small basket, see a variety of survival traps from around the world & you can also learn the art of axe & knife throwing.

The Howlin’ Woods stage, before it gets pumping for some late night boogie sessions, will host kids movies on Friday and Saturday mornings from 11am, Doc n’ Roll documentaries from 1pm, and then dance lessons for the next 4 hours from Hank JD Sleek and dance troupe Shag Pile!

They’ll also have vintage stores galore, the cigar box guitar workshopsflower head-dress workshopsdevil’s poker lounge, our croquet lawn, football tables, and why not try your skill at the main stage, with axe throwing from the Flying Iron Company.

Kids can get into the party spirit with our Mardi-Gras Parades, morning motivational dance warm ups, face-painting, and tin foil fashion shows. For the playful ones, partake in a game of fancy-dress football, giant twister or disco pass the parcel. For the wild ones, they can go mad in our climbing frames and get den building in the woods. For the competitive ones, get involved in our traditional carnival games, tug of war, hook a duck, Wild West tin can alley and much more to explore.

Dog lovers will have the House of Mutt and their trainer’s onsite to answer all your canine questions, as well as test your dog’s agility around their obstacle course.

If its relaxation you’re after, Heilsa Therapies are on hand for massages and a variety of other treatments, the perfect way to rejuvenate yourself for another incredible night of music and cocktails! They’ll also be doing morning yoga sessions, so book yourself in on the day and start the day in bliss..
