WATCH: Asylums – ‘When We Wake Up’

Asylums are offering you “front row seats for Armageddon” on new single ‘When We Wake Up”, and we recommend you take them because doomsday has never sounded so appealing. The track is the first taste from their upcoming second album Alien Human Emotions, which is due to be released on the 6th of July via their own label, Cool Thing Records.

‘When We Wake Up’ is a riotous blur of manic riffs and percussion, with front-man Luke’s standout vocals lamenting millennial desensitization and a desire to break free. The video (shot and directed by Kana Waiwaiku) shows the band pushing their way through the darkness, surrounded by a frenzy of keen moshers.

After a sold out show at Sebright Arms last month and with the support of Kerrang!, Radio X & John Kennedy, Asylums’ new single and upcoming album are definitely going to take them to new, well-deserved heights. Watch the video for ‘When We Wake Up’ below.
