PREMIERE: DaVinche shares dark visuals for ‘The Chase/The Last War’

Having worked with some of the biggest names from the Grime scene over the years, including Kano, Tinie Tempah and Tinchy Stryder, super-producer DaVinche returned recently with ‘The VinchOnacci Project’, his first EP in six years.

It’s a nine track instrumental EP that offers a forward-thinking look at Grime in 2016 and each beat provides a different take on a genre which has been enjoying an extensive period in the media spotlight. Not many producers opt to record videos for their instrumental creations, let alone direct them as well, but DaVinche doesn’t fit the mould of your average producer and after he recently shared the first self-directed visual taken from the project, we’re now delighted to be able to premiere his latest effort for ‘The Chase/The Last War’.

‘The Chase’ is a deep, powerful beat that’s full of electronic blips and pounding bass. Accompanied by a creatively shot video that could easily be a segment taken from a new superhero film, this teleportation-featuring visual embodies the feel of the instrumental perfectly before being disrupted by the incoming episode for ‘The Last War’.

This track was co-produced by long time friend, Boy Better Know member and all round Grime legend Jammer and the two clearly have a good rapport with each other, joining forces to create a hypnotically addictive beat. The video for ‘The Last War’ continues the supernatural theme that runs throughout as we get a sneak peak into scenes of DaVinche and Jammer creating the track in a studio session at Red Bull Studios before a dark and unexpected twist takes place. To find out exactly what happens and to hear these two top tracks, make sure you check out the video above.

DaVinche’s ‘The VinchOnacci Project’ is out now on iTunes and you can stream the project on Soundcloud below.
