PREMIERE: Tadhg Daly unleashes bluesy new track ‘Control Yourself’

For young artists, finding a sound that is ‘yours’ can be quite difficult and not being too overtly influenced by those who have gone before you is a tricky challenge. But for 22-year-old folk-rock artist Tadhg Daly, it seems to be naturally effortless.

Born and raised in Jersey with Irish heritage (Tadhg is Gaelic for Tim), music has always been a part of his life. From Nirvana to Jeff Buckley, Tadhg’s influences have helped to shape his sound into what we hear today and we’re delighted to be able to premiere the video for his latest track ‘Control Yourself‘.

Taken from his forthcoming debut EP Taghazout, which is set to be released on 25th March, ‘Control Yourself’ is a serving of bluesy-rock goodness that really highlights the quality of Tadhg’s vocals. Talking about the track, Tadhg said, “It’s about living in a world that seems to constantly throw temptation at you, often at the worst possible times”.

It’s a very honest and heartfelt insight into the kind of music we can expect to see from Tadhg on his upcoming project, which promises to be a real audio treat. The visuals, filmed in Jersey, are filled with the same kind of emotive passion that is embodied in the track and are an excellent accompaniment to their musical counterpart.

So check out the video below and make sure you follow Tadhg Daly on Twitter to stay up to date with all the latest news & info. His debut EP Taghazout is out on 25th March and you can pre-order tour copy on iTunes here.
