Celebrating a year like no other, Ripple Red have partnered up with Goldsmiths’ music society to bring you a huge night of music and art to round off an incredible year.

With music from Little Grim, The Paisley Daze, Mathilde Bataille and Funeral For Bird, as well as a host of art exhibitors and DJs, it’s a chance to celebrate new talent in all areas.

LITTLE GRIM (Headline)

Mathilde Bataillé is a French musician whose music derives from introspective everyday experiences and social reflections. Accompanied by music inspired by the likes of Jeff Buckley, Patti Smith, Jimi Hendrix and the French chanson, her cathartic sets are a testament to her passion and intent to connect with others.

FUNERAL FOR BIRD

Blending atmospheric indie folk with dream pop and soulful electronica, London based Funeral For Bird create an engaging and moving live show that swirls and bubbles as it goes along. Originally the solo project of 19-year old Joe Futak, Funeral For Bird has since expanded into a full band. Their 3rd album was released in the summer of 2017 to positive acclaim.

NIKOLAS BABIC

Nick is a producer, sound designer and DJ from London who is mainly inspired by the bass driven sounds of jungle, dub, dubstep, grime, dancehall, UK techno and everything in between. More than this though, ambient and film/game music have shaped my sound design and my style of producing. I attempt to fuse these two areas in my productions using their greatest common feature, which is the inescapable atmosphere they both create. At my DJ sets you can expect UK club classics from the past 20 years as well as the new glassy strain of experimental club music coming out of London right now.

ZACHARY CALVERT

Zac likes the energy of dance bangers but also not such ‘commercial’ sounds. So that’s what he’s done with the new one “waved” which will be out shortly. Check the teaser below if you want. Sylenth has been exploited to its full capability to make some nice sounds coupled with undeniable dance energy. House and Garage is the motive. For the most part, Zac likes shiny production and is obsessed with the mixing process; creating a mix that is clean, shiny and that has bass that cuts through hard at all times. A few people he rates a lot: Icarus, NVOY, KC Lights, Redlight, MJ Cole, Kahn, amongst others. Get in touch if you’re in the same camp. 🙂
