Bloc Party have announced they will release a live version of their seminal debut album Silent Alarm on 22 February 2019. The album will be recorded during the band’s forthcoming six date European tour where they will perform the album live and in full for the first time.

Bloc Party will play a handful of special shows across six European capital cities, commencing in Amsterdam on 15 October and taking in Paris, Berlin, Brussels and Dublin, before culminating with a sold out night at London’s Alexandra Palace on 24 October. Middle Kids will support on all UK & EU dates. The band will then take the tour to Australia and New Zealand for a run of dates in November; Haiku Hands will support on the Australian dates.

Before then, they also today announce a very special, intimate, one-off warm up show at the Brudenell Social Club, Leeds, on 13 October 2018.

Silent Alarm was released in 2005 to widespread critical and commercial success, achieving multi-platinum sales and earning Bloc Party a Mercury Prize nomination. The album has since been heralded as one of the most influential and important of the decade by outlets as diverse as Pitchfork, Q, Newsweek, Spin, Complex and Clash, and was named in numerous lists collating the best albums of the decade, whilst NME named it as one of the best of all time.
