LISTEN: Latitude Festival Playlist

Latitude enters its 9th year with a line up hotter than the July heatwave. As always it promises more than music, with a comprehensive bill of comedians, open air theatre, poetry, dance, cabaret and arts giving festival goers a schedule packed with options.

Two Door Cinema Club were due to headline their first UK festival this weekend but have since had to drop out and be replaced by Lily Allen, with Damon Albarn taking care of Saturday night, whilst Grammy Award winning two-man rock group The Black Keys closes proceedings on Sunday.

There are plenty of picks in the line up at the gorgeous grounds of Henham Park, Suffolk. Tame Impala – over from their native Australia – bring psychedelic folk grooves to the party. First Aid Kit make a forth appearance, with Latitude one of the many dates in the middle of their relentless 2014 tour schedule.

Luke Sital Sing has been garnering attention over the last 12 months, and headlines The Lake Stage as a result. Meanwhile Kelis, Billy Bragg, Bombay Bicycle club and Haim add to a solid line up at the Obelisk Arena.

If you fancy a laugh in between there’s plenty going on in the comedy tent. Simon Amstell, Dara O’Briain and Kevin Bridges head up the stage, with the likes Josh Widdicombe and Tommy Tiernan in support.

Catch some ballet on the waterfront, see musicians collaborating with film, hear from an edgy cast of authors on the literary stage, try a spot of yoga, take a ride in a gondola or explore the woods, you’re spoilt for choice at Latitude.
