Sound City add Tim Burgess, alongside a host of new talent, to 2017 lineup

The Charlatans legend has been announced alongside a huge third wave of artists.

Having already announced an astounding line-up for its tenth anniversary edition, Sound City has made it’s programme even better.

Joined by the band’s guitarist Mark Collins, Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess will take over Tim Peaks Diner on Sunday for a set spanning their huge catalogue, and a signing of their new album, Different Days.

Continuing to showcase the very best emerging talent, Sound City also welcomes over 40 new acts to the bill, including Formation, Cupids, Estrons, Yak and more.

The festival again welcomes a host of hot showcases with Leeds College of Music presenting Lucy Whittaker, Laminated Pet Animal, Lucy Rycroft, The Golden Age of TV and Santino, POP Montreal showing off Pierre Kwenders and Mozart’s Sister, SESAC have LA Salami and Echotape and Alya Records showcase music from Yorkshire featuring Fizzy Blood, I Set the Sea on Fire, Tremmors and Violet Contours.

Following a record number of applicants for this tenth anniversary blowout the festival is also proud to present an extraordinary bill combining extraordinary international emerging talent including Wuzi, Paves, Sleep Taking Rozelle, The Bongo Club, Barron, Marvin Powell, Wild Fruit Art Collective, Killason, The Barbarettes, Cleo T and many, many more.
