LISTEN: Mr Bigz drops brilliant new project ‘MFUS2’

As one of the most well respected rappers in the UK, Mr Bigz has given us some amazing music over the last decade and he’s just added to that list with his brand new project MFUS2 (My Funked Up Soul 2).

Each track on the project is produced by long time friend and musical associate Turkish Dcypha, with Bigz also credited as a co-producer on a couple of tracks, and the beats are part of what makes this a very special release. When you name something My Funked Up Soul you really have to make sure that the music justifies the title and thankfully this absolutely lives up to the name.

From exciting samples lifted from seventies funk and R&B tunes to Mr Bigz’s fluid, well rounded flow, MFUS2 is a brilliant UK rap offering. On a number of his releases over the years, Bigz has given some retro sounding tunes a really modern feel and he’s achieved that feat once again on this new release. ‘Black Cream’ is a perfect example – featuring Shaft-like strings and funky electric guitar riffs remeniscent of an Isaac Hayes classic, songs such as this are what this project is all about and it really is a success from start to finish.

You can stream MFUS2 in its entirety below, so make sure you embrace this release and appreciate the talents of this incredibly exciting artist. Also, follow Mr Bigz on Twitter to keep up to date with all the latest news & more direct from the man himself.
